Software Engineer - Postgres
About this role
Snowflake is seeking a Software Engineer to build backend systems for a managed Postgres experience within Snowflake. You'll work on distributed systems, control plane infrastructure, and research-grade optimizations across provisioning, security, and operational layers.
What you'll do
- Design and build backend services for provisioning, lifecycle management, and configuration of Snowflake Postgres instances
- Develop access control and user management features, including authorization and secure administration workflows
- Improve reliability, observability, and operability of asynchronous workflows and background systems
- Partner with product, security, and engineering teams to deliver customer-facing capabilities
- Investigate production issues, participate in on-call rotations, and drive reliability improvements
- Contribute to technical design, code reviews, and mentoring across the team
