About this role
Sony Interactive Entertainment seeks a Software Engineer II to build and automate scalable data platforms supporting billions of transactions for PlayStation's global player base. You'll develop Infrastructure as Code, enhance reliability of NoSQL and streaming services (Cassandra, Kafka, Redis), and create operational tooling using Go, Terraform, and cloud technologies across AWS/GCP.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible to provision and manage NoSQL, streaming, and caching platforms
- Build automation for reliable deployment and repeatable operations across cloud and hybrid environments
- Improve reliability, scalability, performance, and resiliency of platform data services
- Develop automation for scaling, failover, backup, recovery, upgrades, and maintenance activities
- Build observability solutions using metrics, logging, tracing, dashboards, and alerts
- Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, and root-cause analysis
