About this role

SpaceX seeks a full-stack application software engineer to build mission-critical systems supporting rocket production, Starship manufacturing, and Starlink operations. You'll own challenging problems end-to-end, collaborating with engineers across the company to develop reliable software that directly enables SpaceX's aerospace goals.

What you'll do

  • Develop highly reliable, mission-critical software solutions used across SpaceX operations
  • Create new applications that improve manufacturing, launch vehicle production, and Starlink network management
  • Build prototypes to validate design concepts and identify technical constraints
  • Own full lifecycle of software engineering and product development
  • Analyze user problems deeply to design efficient, scalable solutions
  • Participate in team architecture, design reviews, and code collaboration

  • Full-stack development (frontend and backend)
  • Object-oriented programming (Python, C#.NET, Go, Java, or Scala)
  • Single-page application development (Angular, React, or similar)
  • Docker, Kubernetes, and containerization

  • CI/CD, version control, and build systems (Bazel, Gradle, Make)
  • Data streaming (Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ)
