About this role

Lambda seeks a Software Engineer to design and maintain scalable Kubernetes control plane services, operators, and custom controllers for its AI cloud infrastructure. You'll develop automation for cluster lifecycle management, build internal tools and APIs, and ensure resilient distributed systems serving thousands of customers.

What you'll do

  • Design and maintain scalable Kubernetes control plane services, operators, and custom controllers
  • Develop automation for cluster provisioning, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management
  • Build internal tools, APIs, and CLIs for deploying and monitoring inference services
  • Define and implement SLOs/SLIs for Kubernetes services and platform health
  • Troubleshoot low-level cluster issues and collaborate with HPC/Datacenter Ops teams
  • Participate in on-call rotation and assist customers with Kubernetes integrations
