About this role
SpaceX seeks an Avionics Systems Engineer to work on Falcon and Dragon spacecraft, managing the complete lifecycle of avionics systems from design through launch operations. You'll collaborate across mechanical, electrical, and software disciplines to optimize performance, reduce costs, and support an aggressive launch cadence while ensuring mission-critical reliability.
What you'll do
- Oversee avionics system integration from production and testing through launch and refurbishment
- Troubleshoot issues on prototype and production assemblies under tight production schedules
- Define project scope and requirements in collaboration with cross-functional teams and customers
- Design and optimize new systems for manufacturability, quality, and cost
- Lead system projects including schedule creation, task tracking, and resource coordination
- Develop, execute, and document system-level verification and validation for flight hardware
