About this role
SpaceX is seeking a Civil Engineer to lead land development and site infrastructure design for a second orbital launch pad at Starbase. You'll coordinate permitting, manage grading and stormwater systems, and oversee multi-disciplinary construction teams in a fast-paced environment, with relocation to Louisiana required by early 2027.
What you'll do
- Own site feasibility studies, conceptual planning, grading, drainage, and stormwater management design
- Perform calculations for grading, drainage, stormwater facilities, water quality, and utility systems
- Drive permitting coordination with local, state, and federal agencies for land development and utility projects
- Manage civil construction aspects including quality control, conflict resolution, and contractor team coordination
- Develop project requirements, schedules, and cost estimates with contractors and internal stakeholders
- Resolve design and construction conflicts in real-time on the job site
