About this role

SpaceX seeks a Design Criteria Engineer to ensure flight hardware and operations for Falcon and Dragon vehicles meet design requirements and mission success standards. You'll perform critical peer reviews, develop design criteria and verification approaches, and drive improvements across SpaceX's launch and spacecraft systems.

  • Conduct critical peer review and approval of hardware designs during design reviews and test campaigns
  • Develop design criteria, requirements, and verification approaches for new systems
  • Establish processes for reliable aircraft-like operations of launch vehicles and spacecraft
  • Drive vehicle design improvements through close integration with hardware teams
  • Review vehicle changes to verify hardware and operations qualification
