SpaceX seeks an experienced EDM Programmer to support high-volume Starlink satellite production in Bastrop, TX. The role involves programming and operating sinker and wire EDM machines, designing electrodes, and optimizing machining parameters to produce complex molds and components at scale.
What you'll do
- Create conversational programs and operate sinker/wire EDM machines
- Program and operate graphite CNC machining equipment
- Design, pull, and optimize electrodes in collaboration with engineering teams
- Machine electrodes to tight tolerances while meeting production schedules
- Develop and optimize machining parameters for various materials and surface finishes
- Perform precision measurement and inspection of parts using advanced gauging tools
