About this role

SpaceX seeks an Environmental Engineer to manage chemical inventory and air emissions tracking at their Bastrop, TX manufacturing facility, ensuring compliance with EPCRA, Tier II, TRI, and air quality regulations. You'll develop and maintain tracking systems, prepare regulatory filings, conduct audits, and collaborate across departments to keep compliance current as production rates and material streams change.

What you'll do

  • Own and operate continuous chemical inventory assessments across the manufacturing site, tracking receipts, usage, storage quantities, and container counts
  • Prepare, verify, and submit Tier II and TRI filings on schedule with complete calculations and archived documentation
  • Develop and improve inventory tracking tools, workflows, and compliance calendars to maintain EPCRA data accuracy despite production fluctuations
  • Conduct internal audits on inventory integrity, emissions data completeness, and recordkeeping; drive corrective actions with manufacturing teams
  • Work cross-functionally to design operational plans and maintain records aligned with changing production and equipment configurations
  • Support regulatory compliance and ensure records are audit-ready
