About this role

SpaceX seeks an Environmental Health & Safety Engineer to support hazardous operations at the Starship development and test site in Starbase, TX. You will develop and implement comprehensive EHS and environmental compliance programs, conduct safety reviews, lead incident investigations, and ensure adherence to OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

What you'll do

  • Perform detailed safety reviews of complex hazardous operations with test engineers and technicians
  • Lead or assist incident investigations including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
  • Develop and maintain compliance with OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH, EPA, RCRA, and other regulatory requirements
  • Design and implement occupational safety programs covering confined space, fall protection, hazmat, cryogenics, radiation, and laser safety
  • Develop environmental programs including SPCC, SWPPP, Title V air permitting, and hazardous waste management
  • Inspect facilities and equipment to identify hazards; develop contingency plans for emergencies
