About this role
SpaceX seeks an Environmental Health & Safety Engineer to develop and implement comprehensive EHS programs for Cape Canaveral's Starship spaceport construction. This hands-on role requires expertise in occupational safety, environmental compliance, and hazard management across complex aerospace operations.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain compliance with OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH, and other regulatory standards
- Conduct job hazard assessments and implement safety policies with department leadership
- Monitor employee exposure to physical and chemical hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Perform detailed safety reviews of complex hazardous operations with launch and technician teams
- Lead incident investigations including root cause analysis and corrective action development
- Inspect facilities, machinery, and equipment to identify hazards and ensure regulatory compliance
