About this role
SpaceX seeks a Hardware Test Automation Engineer to design and build automated test systems for Starlink satellite hardware, including payloads, propulsion systems, and mechanisms. You'll develop ground support equipment, create test interfaces, and deliver solutions across electrical, pneumatic, and fluid systems in a fast-paced aerospace environment.
What you'll do
- Design and implement automated test systems and ground support equipment (GSE) including fixtures, test equipment, and facilities infrastructure
- Develop electrical, pneumatic, and fluid schematics for test systems
- Create user interfaces for complex test equipment and troubleshooting
- Perform electrical installation of sensors, valves, switches, and transducers
- Lead cross-functional automation projects from design through implementation
- Innovate solutions for unique technical challenges and specialized equipment requirements
