About this role
SpaceX is seeking a Harness Design Engineer for the Starlink team, focused on developing wire harness designs for its satellite vehicles. This role includes managing designs from ideation through production while collaborating with various engineering teams to ensure integration and functionality.
What you'll do
- Design electro-mechanical wire harnesses for Starlink vehicles
- Utilize 3D NX CAD for harness design and trade studies
- Create electrical schematics for flight and qualification
- Oversee vehicle-level harnessing mechanical assemblies
- Conduct analysis and testing for thermal and mechanical validation
- Document and communicate design and testing results
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- Experience with CAD and FEA software
- Proficiency in Siemens NX and Teamcenter
- Experience in wire harness design and integration
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Understanding of structural analysis in mechanical systems
- Self-motivated with strong communication skills
