IT Network Infrastructure Technician
About this role
SpaceX seeks an IT Network Infrastructure Technician to install, test, and maintain critical telecommunications and data systems supporting launch and landing operations at Cape Canaveral. You will work with fiber optics, copper cabling, RF systems, audio/video equipment, and ground station infrastructure across Falcon, Dragon, and Starship missions in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
What you'll do
- Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot fiber, network, audio, video, and RF cabling systems
- Install and support audio, video, and RF equipment and ground station infrastructure
- Build cable pathway systems including trays, racks, and mounting hardware
- Perform continuity checks, locate wiring errors, and diagnose system malfunctions using test instruments
- Read and interpret schematics, engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot failures and document all work

- Fiber optic and copper cabling installation and termination
- Network troubleshooting and RF systems knowledge
- Industry standards (BICSI, NEC, TIA/EIA) and data cabling (Cat5E, Cat6, Cat6A)
- Oscilloscope, multimeter, and continuity testing proficiency
- Soldering, crimping, wire stripping, and connector assembly
- Audio, video, and wireless systems including VoIP and HD-SDI
- Heavy equipment operation (boom lifts, forklifts, scissor lifts)
- Ability to work at heights and in tight spaces with manual dexterity
