About this role

SpaceX is hiring a Launch Engineer for the Dragon Integration team to support spacecraft maintenance, testing, and launch readiness at Cape Canaveral. You'll develop procedures, lead vehicle processing activities, troubleshoot hardware failures, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safe and efficient Dragon operations for crew and cargo missions.

What you'll do

  • Develop and execute integration, testing, and operational procedures for Crew and Cargo Dragon flight hardware and ground support equipment
  • Lead mission-specific launch site processing activities and ensure vehicle readiness for flight
  • Evaluate vehicle requirements and define maintenance and processing work scope
  • Manage work orders, resolve non-conformances, and implement system improvements across vehicle configurations
  • Investigate vehicle and equipment failures by identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions
  • Design hardware and software tools to optimize vehicle processing and test operations

  • Mechanical or aerospace engineering fundamentals
  • Hardware development, vehicle integration, or manufacturing experience
  • High-pressure fluid systems and pressurized systems knowledge
  • Test planning, procedures writing, and integrated system testing
  • 3D CAD (NX preferred) and mechanical design with DFMA principles
  • Fluid and electrical schematic reading and analysis
  • Hands-on fabrication skills (machining, welding, 3D printing)
  • Problem-solving and first-principles engineering reasoning
