About this role

SpaceX seeks a Launch Operations Engineer to manage Starship flight and test operations at Cape Canaveral, including serving as on-console flight controller, developing test requirements, and analyzing performance data to optimize launch capability and safety.

What you'll do

  • Serve as on-console flight controller during launch and test events
  • Develop test requirements and launch plans for integrated rocket hardware
  • Write and review control logic and automation for test and launch systems
  • Perform real-time and post-operation data analysis across software, fluid, structural, thermal, and electrical systems
  • Collaborate with design and production teams to resolve system hazards and improve flight hardware
  • Enforce safety protocols and serve as final authority on operational safety
