About this role

SpaceX seeks a Launch Reliability Engineer to champion mission assurance at Vandenberg Space Force Base, ensuring safe and efficient processing of Falcon 9, Dragon, and Starship vehicles. You'll collaborate with multiple engineering teams to identify risks, drive process improvements, and maintain launch readiness through data-driven quality management.

What you'll do

  • Ensure reliable launch operations by optimizing vehicle, payload, and spacecraft processing design and execution
  • Identify and mitigate high-risk processes during vehicle processing and refurbishment cycles
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action investigations to solve critical problems
  • Collaborate with engineering disciplines on PDR/CDR reviews to validate design for quality and manufacturability
  • Maintain feedback loops using data to prioritize and resolve high-impact quality issues
  • Partner with Flight Reliability and Launch Operations teams to maintain operational excellence
