About this role
SpaceX seeks a Launch & Test Engineer to design and maintain the fluid and mechanical systems powering Starship launches and testing at Cape Canaveral. You'll own projects from concept through field implementation, working hands-on with cryogenic and high-pressure systems while collaborating with technicians and launch operations to solve real-world challenges under tight deadlines.
What you'll do
- Design, analyze, and build fluid and mechanical systems supporting rocket launches and testing
- Take cradle-to-grave ownership of projects including design reviews, procurement, and construction oversight
- Perform pressurized fluid, thermal, and structural analysis with focus on system-level design and component selection
- Work directly with technicians to build, activate, and troubleshoot hardware in the field
- Maintain rapid feedback loops with launch operations to adapt plans and meet aggressive schedules
- Perform hands-on fabrication, maintenance, and iteration to reduce equipment downtime
