About this role

SpaceX is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for Starlink to design and scale electro-mechanical assembly and test processes from prototype through high-volume production. You'll collaborate with engineering teams to optimize manufacturability, define production systems, and implement automation while managing the transition from design to full-scale manufacturing.

What you'll do

  • Design and implement electro-mechanical assembly and test processes for Starlink satellites and ground equipment
  • Collaborate with mechanical design teams to incorporate design-for-manufacturability principles
  • Lead prototype builds and ensure incremental production milestones are achieved
  • Define facility layouts, tooling requirements, headcount needs, and material flow for high-volume manufacturing
  • Identify automation opportunities, evaluate ROI, and implement solutions on production lines
  • Ensure manufacturing systems meet high-volume rate, cost, and quality targets
