SpaceX is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for Supplier Development to work closely with internal teams and suppliers on the Starlink Gateway project. This role focuses on improving production metrics and ensuring supplier compliance through strategic sourcing and quality management.
What you'll do
- Enhance quality, cost, delivery, and capacity metrics for hardware components
- Collaborate with engineers to understand design intent and requirements
- Assist procurement in sourcing parts aligned with supplier capabilities
- Resolve supplier quality issues via root cause analysis
- Define technical product requirements for supplier adherence
- Monitor production part approval processes with suppliers

- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
- 2+ years of relevant engineering experience
- Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT)
- Knowledge of supply chain and manufacturing methods
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

- Familiarity with metrology tools
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
