About this role
SpaceX seeks an HVAC Mechanical Engineer to design, install, and maintain heating and cooling systems for facilities ranging from offices to rocket and payload environmental control systems at Cape Canaveral. What you'll do
- Perform cooling load and heat loss calculations per ASHRAE standards
- Design HVAC systems for offices, hangars, rockets, and payload environmental control to meet standards 55, 62.1, and 90.1
- Execute system commissioning per ASHRAE Guideline 0 and Standard 202
- Investigate equipment failures and recommend maintenance solutions
- Oversee installation, operation, and repair to ensure compliance with specifications
- Develop mechanical and controls designs using CAD/BIM software and fluid dynamics principles
