About this role
SpaceX seeks an MEP/Construction Engineer to lead infrastructure projects supporting the company's mission. You'll oversee mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system design, procurement, and construction across aerospace and industrial facilities in the Austin area, managing teams, contracts, and real-time problem-solving.
What you'll do
- Lead MEP project teams through design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases
- Develop engineering drawings, design documentation, and technical reports
- Write, negotiate, and manage construction contracts with subcontractors
- Resolve design and construction conflicts on-site in real-time
- Coordinate with electrical utilities on power distribution design
- Interact with engineers, contractors, fabricators, and stakeholders

- MEP systems design and construction (3+ years)
- Electrical power distribution systems (<600Vac)
- HVAC design and operation
- Plumbing design and wastewater systems
- AutoCAD/Revit
- Critical power infrastructure (UPS, generators, transfer switches)
- National Electric Code, ASHRAE, NFPA, IBC knowledge
- Field troubleshooting and problem-solving
