About this role
SpaceX seeks a Network Engineer to design, deploy, and manage critical network infrastructure for Starshield data centers supporting national security missions. You'll oversee high-speed connectivity for massive AI clusters, collaborate across teams to optimize network performance, and ensure reliable operations for government-focused space technology.
What you'll do
- Manage network infrastructure and deployments to Top Secret data centers
- Design and validate high-speed copper and optical connectivity for 100k+ GPU AI clusters
- Translate ML workload communication patterns into network topology and reconfigurability requirements
- Build automation tools for network devices, deployments, and operational provisioning
- Monitor network performance, implement capacity planning, and troubleshoot failures
- Lead network integration efforts and collaborate with hardware, software, and network teams

- Layer-1 networking (transport, DWDM, optical fiber, circuit troubleshooting)
- Datacenter network design (Ethernet, IPv4/IPv6, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, VXLAN)
