New Graduate Engineer, Power Generation (Starship)
About this role
SpaceX seeks a new graduate electrical engineer to join the Starship program at Starbase, TX, designing and maintaining advanced power generation, avionics, and automation systems for orbital flight. You'll work on mission-critical electrical infrastructure including microgrids, high-reliability circuits, and industrial control systems while supporting rocket development and production.
What you'll do
- Design and develop analog/digital circuits, power converters, and signal conditioning for extreme space environments
- Develop high-reliability avionics components including sensors, power systems, and data acquisition interfaces
- Design, build, and maintain Starbase microgrids including power budgets, monitoring, metering, and protective relay schemes
- Support electrical system troubleshooting, technician coordination, and safe operation in dynamic environments
- Participate in automated manufacturing equipment and process conceptualization for Starship production
- Ensure compliance with NFPA 70, 70B, 70E, NESC, and IEEE electrical standards
