New Graduate Engineer, Software Security - '26/'27 (Starlink)

About this role

SpaceX seeks a new graduate software security engineer for Starlink to design and implement security features across satellites, routers, dishes, and ground infrastructure. You'll develop cryptographic solutions, secure boot mechanisms, and threat detection systems while maintaining production security posture for the world's largest satellite constellation.

What you'll do

• Design and build security-critical infrastructure for Starlink systems
• Develop security features for routers, dishes, gateways, and satellites
• Integrate security into factory processes and network services
• Maintain production systems and recommend security improvements to other teams
• Build prototypes and identify security enhancements through testing
• Contribute to secure internet access for underserved communities

• Software engineering (Python, C++, or Golang)
• Applied cryptography and secure system design
• Operating system and network security
• Secure/authenticated boot implementation
• Trusted Platform Modules (TPMs) and Hardware Security Modules (HSMs)
