About this role
SpaceX seeks an Operations Engineer to join the Process and Material Planning team at the McGregor, TX Rocket Development and Test facility. This role combines engineering analysis, data science, and hands-on operations experience to optimize supply chain, planning, and production efficiency across Falcon, Dragon, Raptor, and Starship programs.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain data analysis tools using SQL, Python, and Excel to address delivery, capacity, and cost challenges
- Define operational metrics and dashboards in Grafana and Power BI to track reliability, cost, and agility
- Conduct ad-hoc data analysis for leadership to inform headcount, labor, and project decisions
- Lead process improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve safety, and eliminate production bottlenecks
- Coordinate cross-site alignment with supply chain, test, and fabrication teams to eliminate duplicate efforts
- Support planners during high-demand periods and facilitate knowledge transfer for new systems and best practices
