About this role
SpaceX seeks an Operations Engineer for the Starshield program to optimize production processes, analyze capacity and supply chain operations, and lead cross-functional teams in solving complex operational challenges. This role combines operations research, industrial engineering, and data science to support national defense milestones in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What you'll do
- Develop analytical tools for delivery, capacity, production, and supply chain optimization to inform strategic decisions
- Create process flow models to simulate production behavior and synchronize output across Starshield program elements
- Conduct root cause analysis on operational challenges and implement targeted solutions
- Track key performance indicators and identify optimization opportunities to meet production demand
- Collaborate with supply chain, engineering, and accounting teams to align cross-functional efforts
- Design strategic space planning models and equipment layouts for program facilities
