About this role
SpaceX seeks a Power Electronics Engineer to design and develop high-reliability power systems for Starship rockets and spacecraft. You'll lead the full development cycle—from requirements and component selection through testing and manufacturing—of advanced DC-DC converters and power distribution electronics for extreme space environments.
What you'll do
- Design, analyze, and test DC-DC power converters and power distribution systems for spacecraft
- Drive system trades, requirements definition, and component selection across the power electronics lifecycle
- Perform schematic capture, prototyping, debugging, and testing of power electronics hardware
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize efficiency, manufacturability, and reliability
- Develop electrical power system and subsystem-level design requirements and architecture

- Circuit board layout and design for manufacturability
