About this role
SpaceX is hiring a Security Engineer for its Red Team to identify and remediate vulnerabilities across enterprise systems while developing security tools and conducting offensive security exercises. The role bridges vulnerability management, threat hunting, and developer partnership to protect SpaceX's critical infrastructure and mission.
What you'll do
- Develop security tools, processes, and guidance to improve adoption without impeding delivery
- Conduct code reviews and web application security testing to identify insecure patterns
- Triage bug bounty reports and coordinate vulnerability remediation with internal teams
- Execute Purple Team and Red Team exercises to test controls and identify security gaps
- Build and maintain vulnerability alerting systems and threat intelligence integration
- Document findings, track metrics, and report risk assessments to leadership
