About this role
SpaceX is hiring a Security Software Engineer for Starshield, a government-focused satellite program leveraging Starlink technology. You'll design and implement security infrastructure across satellites, routers, dishes, and ground systems, protecting critical national security communications and earth observation capabilities.
What you'll do
- Design and implement cryptographic services and security-critical infrastructure for Starshield systems
- Develop security features for routers, dishes, gateways, and satellites
- Integrate security into manufacturing processes and provide supporting network services
- Maintain production systems and recommend security improvements across teams
- Build prototypes and identify, design, and test security enhancements
- Work across distributed, large-scale infrastructure to improve overall security posture
