About this role

SpaceX seeks a Site Reliability Engineer to design, deploy, and operate GPU/CPU infrastructure supporting the Starshield national security satellite constellation. You'll manage large-scale AI clusters, automate on-premise Kubernetes deployments, and collaborate with AI teams to build highly available, scalable systems.

What you'll do

  • Manage GPU/CPU infrastructure deployments to Top Secret data centers and operate GPU-as-a-service for external customers
  • Design and productize solutions for massive AI clusters scaling to 100k+ GPUs
  • Develop automation for on-premise Kubernetes/AI cluster and operating system deployments
  • Deploy and manage core infrastructure including databases, monitoring, and distributed storage
  • Partner with AI engineers to create scalable, maintainable products with high availability
  • Monitor systems, implement alerting, and identify improvements throughout service lifecycle

  • Linux operating systems administration
  • Terraform, Ansible, or similar infrastructure-as-code tools
  • Kubernetes cluster management and container technologies (OCI)
  • Python, C++, or Go development
  • Bash and Python scripting
  • TCP/IP networking and distributed database knowledge
  • CI/CD, build systems (Bazel, Make), and performance optimization
  • NVIDIA GPU deployment stacks (Blackwell/Rubin) experience
