About this role
SpaceX seeks a backend software engineer to design and maintain mission-critical test infrastructure frameworks used across all flight systems. You'll develop scalable testing tools in Python and C++ that accelerate vehicle production and validation, working closely with flight software teams to solve complex engineering challenges.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain core test infrastructure framework and applications across SpaceX
- Improve reliability, performance, and safety of test software systems
- Collaborate with flight software engineers to build new features and enhance user experiences
- Own full software engineering lifecycle for test infrastructure products
- Analyze user problems to design efficient, scalable solutions
- Work across engineering groups to create production testing and simulation tools
