About this role
Join SpaceX's Ground Network team to design and build software systems for capacity planning, forecasting, and optimization of Starlink's global infrastructure. You'll develop scalable data pipelines, simulation engines, and models that enable efficient deployment of thousands of ground stations while serving tens of millions of users.
What you'll do
- Design and maintain reliable software for capacity planning, forecasting, and network optimization
- Develop scalable data pipelines and backend services ingesting telemetry, inventory, cost, and usage data
- Build simulation, optimization, and forecasting engines to predict network needs and recommend deployment strategies
- Collaborate with network engineers, operators, and external partners to align planning models with real-world performance
- Own full software lifecycle from architecture through deployment, monitoring, and iteration
- Apply first-principles thinking to analyze capacity, cost, and scaling challenges
