About this role

SpaceX is hiring a Structural Engineer to design and oversee high-rise facilities supporting rapid Starship production and refurbishment at Starbase. You'll lead structural work packages from conceptual design through construction, managing complex steel and concrete projects with aggressive timelines and minimal precedents.

What you'll do

  • Design multistory facilities for new construction and structural modifications, managing all phases from feasibility through completion
  • Perform structural analyses and calculations for large steel and reinforced concrete buildings, including foundations and lateral load systems
  • Create design drawings, calculations, and presentations; estimate materials, schedules, and costs
  • Write and manage construction contracts with subcontractors; oversee project scheduling, budgeting, and cost control
  • Coordinate multi-discipline design and construction teams; provide field observations and resolve conflicts in real-time
  • Ensure job site safety, schedule compliance, and quality workmanship; maintain relationships with contractors and stakeholders
