About this role

SpaceX seeks a Network Infrastructure Supervisor to lead technician teams installing and maintaining mission-critical communication systems for spacecraft and launch vehicles. The role combines hands-on technical expertise in low-voltage cabling and fiber infrastructure with supervisory responsibilities, team coordination, and quality assurance across production and launch operations.

What you'll do

  • Supervise technician teams installing and maintaining mission-critical communication systems
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair cabling infrastructure and perform quality assurance audits
  • Prioritize work schedules to meet project timelines and provide stakeholder updates
  • Collaborate with engineers and specialists on system designs, materials selection, and documentation
  • Manage direct reports through feedback, periodic reviews, and corrective action; review timesheets and time-off requests
  • Ensure OSHA and SpaceX safety compliance; maintain installation and asset documentation databases

  • Low-voltage cable installation and termination (twisted pair, coaxial, fiber optic)
  • Fiber optic cabling expertise (single-mode and multi-mode)
  • Knowledge of industry standards (BICSI, NEC, TIA/EIA) and Cat5E/Cat6/Cat6A cabling
  • Network troubleshooting tools and telecom best practices
  • Team supervision and personnel management
  • Oscilloscope, multi-meter, crimping, soldering, and continuity testing
  • CAD/Visio software for documentation and system design
  • RF communication systems and HD-SDI video infrastructure
