About this role
SpaceX is seeking a Supplier Development Engineer specializing in PCB/PCBA manufacturing to support the Starship program. You'll manage supplier relationships, oversee new product introduction, solve manufacturing challenges, and drive quality improvements for rocket avionics components. This role combines technical expertise in electronics fabrication with cross-functional collaboration to enable ambitious production volumes.
What you'll do
- Serve as technical point of contact for assigned PCB/PCBA parts, resolving supplier manufacturing and quality issues that impact production
- Own new product introduction including supplier selection, process validation, and ramp-to-rate for new or re-sourced components
- Analyze production data and drive improvements in manufacturability, cost, and lead times through engineering updates
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for quality escapes and containment activities
- Collaborate with design, reliability, supply chain, and production teams on product portfolio management
- Assess supplier capabilities through audits and onboarding, matching manufacturing processes to sourcing strategies
