Supplier Development Engineer, Silicon & Packaging (Starlink)
About this role
SpaceX seeks a Supplier Development Engineer to manage the supply chain for custom silicon and packaging components critical to Starlink satellites. You'll oversee supplier quality, cost, and delivery metrics while collaborating across engineering, manufacturing, and procurement teams to ensure reliable production of advanced satellite hardware.
What you'll do
- Own supply continuity and improve quality, cost, delivery, and capacity metrics for IC custom silicon and packaging hardware
- Assess supplier manufacturing processes, quality systems, and onboard new suppliers to meet program requirements
- Lead root cause analysis of supplier quality issues and implement corrective actions across the supply base
- Create and enforce supplier technical and quality requirements for NPI and production phases
- Implement production part approval process (PPAP) and monitor supplier qualification and reliability activities
- Identify process improvements to reduce costs, supply risk, and defects while improving cycle time

- Advanced Excel and Minitab proficiency
