About this role
SpaceX seeks a Test Engineer to develop and execute testing procedures for Dragon spacecraft during post-flight processing, refurbishment, and pre-flight validation. You'll own test solutions across integrated systems, troubleshoot failures, and collaborate with design engineers to continuously improve capsule operations and ground processing at Cape Canaveral.
What you'll do
- Develop and execute integrated test procedures for Crew and Cargo Dragon hardware and subsystems during post-flight, maintenance, and pre-flight phases
- Act as vehicle controller and test conductor during Dragon integrated system tests
- Design test solutions for in-house developed flight hardware and develop automation tools using SpaceX software
- Evaluate flight vehicle requirements and manage refurbishment campaigns, including risk and change assessment
- Independently troubleshoot vehicle and GSE failures to root cause with written disposition and follow-on plans
- Manage ground support equipment and facility projects, prioritizing ROI while coordinating safety and schedule across teams
