About this role
SpaceX seeks a Test Engineer for Starship powertrain components to develop test plans, validate flight hardware, and design automated test systems for high-pressure fluid systems and propulsion components. What you'll do
- Develop detailed test plans and campaigns to validate flight hardware for Starship propulsion systems
- Serve as instrumentation and test expert supporting flight hardware development teams
- Design and specify requirements for automated test systems to test and validate components
- Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and software engineers to develop new test systems
- Investigate anomalies and failures in hardware across the product lifecycle
- Train personnel on operation of complex test systems and ensure safety protocol compliance
