About this role
SpaceX seeks a Test Engineer to develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies for Starship propulsion components, including high-pressure fluid systems, valves, and Raptor engine injectors. You'll work across R&D, qualification, and production phases while designing automated test systems and ensuring safety compliance for flight hardware development.
What you'll do
- Serve as instrumentation and test expert on flight hardware development teams
- Design and execute detailed test plans and campaigns for propulsion component validation
- Investigate anomalies and failures in flight hardware
- Define requirements and develop automated test systems for hardware validation
- Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and software engineers on test system design
- Train personnel on complex test system operations and maintain safety protocol compliance
