Water Treatment Engineer, Solar Cell Factory (Starlink)

SpaceX is looking for a Water Treatment Engineer to oversee the construction and operation of an ultrapure water treatment facility for their solar cell production. This role will involve optimizing processes and ensuring the efficient functioning of systems that support the manufacturing of satellites aimed at enhancing global connectivity.

What you'll do

• Oversee construction, activation, and operation of ultrapure water treatment facility
• Design and implement mechanical and fluid systems
• Analyze lab data and feedback to maintain plant operations
• Develop and improve operational procedures and equipment
• Collaborate with internal teams and regulatory bodies
• Identify and lead continuous improvement projects

What they're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, math, or science
• 1+ years in a manufacturing environment
• 3+ years in wastewater treatment (preferred)
• Knowledge of process parameters and engineering units
• Ability to read PFDs, P&IDs, and CAD drawings
• Experience with mechanical equipment repair
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
• Project management skills
