About this role
Splice is seeking a Data Engineer II to build and scale data pipelines supporting creator payouts, revenue reporting, and product analytics. You'll work with BigQuery, SQLMesh, Python, and Dagster to maintain reliable data infrastructure while participating in on-call rotation and driving platform quality improvements.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain data models in SQLMesh with incremental strategies, testing, and documentation
- Participate in on-call rotation to triage and resolve ETL failures, data unavailability, and metric breakage
- Extend and maintain pipelines powering creator payouts and GAAP-compliant revenue reporting
- Improve query performance and reduce BigQuery compute costs
- Define observability standards including alert thresholds, metrics, logs, and monitoring dashboards
- Modernize legacy pipeline jobs and reduce technical debt across the platform
