Forward Deployed Engineer - Investment Systems
About this role
KKR seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with investment teams across the firm and design, build, and deploy production AI systems that streamline workflows and remove operational bottlenecks. You will work hands-on from discovery through adoption, translating business challenges into technical solutions while converting successful implementations into reusable platform capabilities that scale across the organization.
What you'll do
- Embed with internal teams across private equity, credit, real assets, and capital markets to understand workflows and identify AI opportunities
- Design and build production-grade AI applications, agents, and workflow automations using Python or TypeScript
- Integrate structured and unstructured data across enterprise systems to enable reliable AI-powered applications
- Create reusable AI skills, tools, evaluation frameworks, and connectors that scale across business units
- Establish metrics and rigorous evaluations measuring accuracy, adoption, time saved, and business impact
- Drive user adoption through documentation, training, and direct feedback while maintaining security and compliance standards
