About this role

Stoke is seeking a skilled Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Engineer to join their agile team working on Nova, a rapidly reusable launch vehicle. You will be responsible for developing and validating GNC algorithms, designing trajectories, and ensuring system quality through testing and analysis, playing a crucial role in enabling a scalable space industry. What you'll do

  • Develop guidance, attitude control, engine control, and state estimation algorithms.
  • Create and validate vehicle and environmental models for simulation.
  • Perform rigorous testing to ensure system quality and performance.
  • Conduct Monte Carlo analysis of vehicle performance and flight safety.
  • Document GNC algorithm verification and validation for regulatory approval.
  • Design customer trajectories and mission capabilities.
