About this role
Stripe seeks a Backend Software Engineer to design and build scalable financial infrastructure systems. You'll own end-to-end problems across distributed systems, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help merchants grow their businesses through robust APIs and platform features.
What you'll do
- Own and solve technical problems across multiple systems and technologies from inception to completion
- Design and build elegant APIs enabling merchants to operate at scale on Stripe's platform
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, data scientists, and product managers on feature development
- Contribute to architecture design of next-generation infrastructure supporting high growth
- Maintain and enforce high engineering standards across diverse codebases and processes
- Develop user-facing experiences and analyze experiment results
