Stripe is seeking a Software Engineer to design and build robust online database infrastructure solutions that scale reliably and efficiently. You'll contribute to team strategy, innovate infrastructure systems, and maintain high engineering standards while balancing performance, cost, and reliability tradeoffs.
What you'll do
- Design, implement, and deploy scalable database infrastructure solutions with appropriate tradeoffs between reliability, throughput, latency, and cost
- Contribute to team strategy, roadmap, tooling, and processes for database systems
- Innovate and improve infrastructure resiliency, reliability, and efficiency at scale
- Break down complex distributed systems and identify optimization opportunities
- Make data-driven cost-performance tradeoffs to influence design decisions
- Uphold engineering standards and enhance codebase and development processes
