About this role

Supabase is hiring a Platform Engineer to design and operate the edge networking infrastructure that powers its global Postgres platform. You'll own API gateways, routing, load balancing, DNS, and traffic distribution while collaborating with infrastructure and product teams to ensure low-latency, highly available services at scale.

What you'll do

  • Design and implement Supabase's global edge router platform with programmable, API-driven routing logic
  • Build and maintain DNS, WAF, TLS termination, CDN integrations, and global load balancing systems
  • Implement advanced observability including metrics, logs, latency measurements, and failure mitigation
  • Optimize routing performance to minimize latency and improve reliability across cloud regions
  • Design CI/CD systems with proper change and release management for edge deployments
  • Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, and post-incident reviews for edge-related issues

  • SRE/DevOps/Cloud Infrastructure (5+ years)
  • High-scale networking and edge infrastructure (4+ years)
  • HTTP, TCP/IP, TLS, CDN, load balancing, and global routing protocols
  • Traffic proxies/routers (Envoy, NGINX, HAProxy, Traefik)
  • Go programming language
  • Infrastructure as Code (Pulumi, Terraform, CDK)
  • Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Distributed systems debugging and troubleshooting
