About this role

Terran Orbital seeks an Associate Flight Software Test & Tools Engineer to support satellite flight software validation, testing automation, and build infrastructure. This early-career role focuses on test execution, embedded systems tooling, CI/CD pipeline development, and DevSecOps integration for high-reliability aerospace missions.

What you'll do

  • Create and execute comprehensive test plans for flight software validation across simulation, hardware-in-the-loop, and flight-vehicle environments
  • Develop and maintain automated flashing, deployment, and testing workflows for embedded devices and physical hardware
  • Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines and build systems using tools like GitHub Actions while incorporating DevSecOps practices
  • Support software verification, compliance documentation, and bug tracking in coordination with firmware and FPGA engineers
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot embedded and non-embedded toolchains from various vendors
  • Track performance metrics and continuously improve test framework efficiency and reliability
