About this role

Torc, a Daimler-owned autonomous trucking software company, seeks a Software Engineer II to design and scale mapping and routing data pipelines and APIs. You'll work independently on loosely-defined problems, collaborate with internal teams, and translate customer feedback into production features for their commercial expansion.

What you'll do

  • Design and build scalable data pipelines and services for mapping and routing systems
  • Drive ambiguous problems from customers to concrete technical designs with independent scoping
  • Collaborate with Map Enablement and neighboring teams to understand needs and define features
  • Translate customer feedback into well-scoped, implementable features
  • Make sound architectural decisions for cost-effective solutions
  • Partner with engineering teams that consume Map Enablement software
