Cicoil Product Development Engineer
About this role
Cicoil seeks a Product Development Engineer to lead custom cable and interconnect solutions from customer inquiry through manufacturing handoff. This role bridges engineering, sales, and manufacturing, executing full NPI/APQP lifecycles for aerospace, defense, medical, and industrial markets while serving as the primary technical contact for customers and the sales team.
What you'll do
- Serve as primary technical interface between customers, sales team, and internal engineering during product development
- Execute full NPI and APQP processes from requirements gathering through design validation and manufacturing handoff
- Develop tailored cable and interconnect solutions, including material selection, design, and compliance recommendations
- Prepare technical quotes and cost estimates for custom engineered cable and assembly products
- Create prototype designs and conduct design validations using CAD and testing methodologies
- Collaborate with engineering technicians and cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability and zero-ambiguity handoffs

- Cable, wire harness, and electro-mechanical assembly design and development
- Autodesk Inventor or equivalent 3D CAD modeling

- Clear technical communication to diverse audiences
- Multi-project management and organizational capability
- Mil/Aerospace specifications (MIL-DTL-17, MIL-W-22759, MIL-C-27500)
